Movie anticipation – He Named Me Malala (2015)

A look at the events leading up to the Talibans’ attack on the young Pakistani school girl, Malala Yousafzai, for speaking out on girls’ education and the aftermath, including her speech to the United Nations. (imdb)

I haven’t even read Malala’s biography, so this movie comes super handy. I bet clips from it will be utilised in many classrooms around the world. It is an inspiring story and Malala is a wonderful person. The message that girls have an equal right to education should be a truism, not something we have to justify.

I hope to catch this movie in the cinema; I’ll see it one way or the other.

Out since 2nd October
