I decided to join the green masses taking over the world today. 😀 I’ve never done that before and now I’m super curious how many of my friends at the university will join in the fun. There’s definitely going to be a poster or two, some displays at the English department, I’m less sure others will note the holiday since it’s not something people in Slovenia celebrate. Irish pubs across the country might go all out with special events to draw in a crowd, but not much else, I think.
The holiday has a long and colourful history other bloggers and media outlets will certainly explain in detail, so I won’t talk about it here. I just wanted to say I’ll observe it by wearing green. I was thinking about beige pants, a green long-sleeved shirt and maybe my lightweight orange scarf. Not so sure about the scarf, to be honest – it’s kind of loud, if colours can be described this way. Perhaps going the more subtle way with my favourite green one would be better. Finding something in a shamrock shape, however, might get a bit tricky.
