The event has been wrapped up. 😀
I haven’t reached the goal of 50,000 words (by far) and managed to write down about 20% of the required count (10,800 words). It’s not a brilliant achievement at all but I am one valuable experience wiser than before. I know that my planning should be well underway in October and that I should change my preference for linear writing since this gets me stuck quite often. My penchant for rewrites also needs some curbing, which was a hard thing for me to do this time as well. Well, my muse has the right of it – short burst and from very different points in the plot.
Better software is also something I should invest in for my writing. It is far easier to organise and follow the changes when you’ve got the software that does it for you. Not that MS Word is bad, but I do get tired of scrolling up and down the pages, looking for one particular passage still in need of polishing.
Well, I’ll participate next year again; hopefully to win. Now my focus will turn towards AinA and my other stories in need of editing and updating.
